Will Steve Nash Be The Greatest Player To Never Appear In The Nba Finals?
I might be wrong, but has Nash ever been to the NBA finals? Players like Stockton, Malone, Ewing, Barkley, Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd have all at least made it to the finals. Nash is one of the elite PG’s. The west is not getting any easier.
You forgot about Iverson he made it to the Finals 2.
Tracy McGrady has never made it to the Finals let alone gotten out of the 1st Round and Chris Webber neither.
So right now its Nash, T.Mac, and C.Webb as the 3 greats that never been to a Final. Im optimistic on Nash though I think he can do it.
Although a lot of great players never won a championship, there are not really that many all time greats who never made it to at least one NBA final.

George Gervin
Artis Gilmore
Tracy McGrady
Steve Nash
Pete Maravich
Dominique Wilkins
Dave Bing (the Bullets went to the NBA finals in 1975 and 1978…Bing played for them in 1976 and 1977)
I might pick Dominique Wilkins as the best player never to make an NBA final. But Nash is up there, and deserves a mention if he doesn’t eventually make it to the finals.
Gervin, Maravich and Bing were all selected to the NBA’s Top 50 all time team. Dominique Wilkins could very well have been the best player to be left off of the Top 50 team.
Nah, he might join a contender as a veteran support instead of a leader. If he doesn’t take his team to the finals with the Suns in the next few years. The Suns are losing their chance as the years go by, Nash is getting old so is Shaq, the upside is Amare Stoudemire , he may become a much more dominant player and carry the Suns.
No, because the Suns can trade him to any “”contender team” and win 1 championship before retires.
