Nba 2k9 Rating System?
Seriously, is nba 2k9 rating system screwd up? the only way to improve the ratings of a player is through development. However, you only have 7 hrs of development per month and most of the training costs 3hrs and you can only traing one player per month.
Next, playing time doesnt add to the players ratings. But if you don’t play a player, or give him like 12mins of playing time he becomes unhappy and his rating system goes down.
What i did was have 5 great players, 3 so-so players and the remaining crappy players (around the ratings of 60). Even if i play a full 48 min game with only my 5 great starters, some of them will still decrease in ratings.
So if anyone really knows how the rating system works, please share some info coz seriously, im new to this and the as of the moment my players ratings are decresing while other teams are increasing making the game unfair for the user
Yeah, it works on their ‘morale’ so their role in the team ie. Starter, sixth man and whether or not they deserve that role with their skill. Plus the minutes you assign them affect their rating. Obviously the more minutes the happier. But the higher the rating the more minutes they expect
I can’t remember exactly but i think Starters need at least 29 minutes to remain pleased (but that’s like a bad starter like high 70’s) Sixth men – 21. Role players – 9 and bench warmers – 1-2.
But when you say their rating goes down after they play 48 minutes that can happen. Especially if your team has a losing record. The red arrows are also effected by the teams morale. Players can have plenty of minutes but if the team isnt successful their morale is going to go down along with their rating

Playing time makes a player better if he is happier.
Try going cheap and upgrading the player you want potential to be 99. It’ll be way faster.
You can go to “Edit Player” and make them better, then you can stop whining to us about it.
